The purpose of Petrey Memorial Baptist is based on the fact that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus) that whosoever believes on Him shall have ever lasting life.  The Bible plainly teaches the Church has been established through our Lord Jesus Christ.  He has given the Church the mandate to carry the Good News (Jesus Saves) to the whole world.  

It is from this mandate, in Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world, that our mission statement arrives.

It is the desire of the Petrey Memorial Baptist Church to win the lost to Jesus and to help the saved to grow in the Grace and Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.  All our programs are Christ centered and Biblically based.  We do not apologize for the truth of the Word but try to convey it to those who are seeking to find the truth for an eternity.  We believe salvation is for all sinners who are willing to repent of their sin in honest confession and receive Jesus into their heart.
